Camp Riverwild : access is quite challenging, so you really feel you're out in the wilds! Spectacular natural setting with the foothills of the Himalayas all around and the wide, fast river running by. Our room looked out over the riverbank and across the river to the mountains, and we constantly saw beautiful birds from our balcony, as well as walking along the riverbank and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air in such a beautiful place. We had a satisfying walk up into the jungle, seeing deer, wild boar, lots of new birds and of course, tiger spoor. The food was the best of the three places we stayed in - really good chef. The rooms are wonderfully imaginative in their design, on stilts in case of flooding, and the management tried their best to be obliging, going to a lot of trouble to connect us to the UK by phone so that we could talk to our daughter on her 21st birthday. It was unfortunate that one morning we were delayed meeting our driver for our early morning drive because the staff had been up late the night before celebrating Diwali, but the manager was deeply apologetic and I'm sure he won't let it happen again. We loved this place.
Best wishes,(UK)
