The tigers are perhaps the most famous of all the wild animals present in India. It is symbolic because of it's physical power and is hence worshiped by all animals as the guardian and ruler of the forest. To mark their territories, a tiger urinate or secretes anal gland secretions on trees, bushes and rocks in various places throughout the jungle. In addition to this, they make claw marks on tree trunks. By doing this they alarm other tigers to keep away and avoid physical confrontations.
The royal Bengal tigers are not easily spotted since the reserve is camouflaged with a variety of shrubs. Additionally, tigers looking out for opportunity to prey find this thick jungle and the Ramganga river perfect hunting grounds. The tigers of the park have been found to kill much larger animals like buffalos and elephants for food. However, the enormously sized boars are a match to these tigers. A large male boar is capable of even killing a tiger.
