Golden Mahseer Fishing in Jim Corbett

The name Mahasheer is made up of two local words : Maha = big and sher =lion as it ascends in the hilly rivers and streams of Himalaya courageously. The Golden mahasheer has been known to reach 2.75 m (9 ft) in length and 54 kg (118 lb) in weight.

Mahseer angling in the Himalayas requires fast water and a good eye for spotting big fish in the rapids and pools that you find in India and many anglers who travel the world in search of big fish say the Mahseer is the true king of them all, its power having no rivals.

"Machula Bridge, Van ghat pools, and other beats along the world famous Ramganga River are the best places to locate Golden Mahasheer Fish.

Day 01 : Corbett

On arrival Check-in at Wildlife resort. Fresh-n-up and time for lunch. Evening nature walk along with kosi River. Dinner & Over night at wildlife Resort.

Day 02 : Corbett

Early morning departs from wildlife resort by car/open Gypsy to Ramganga River with fishing guide and a packed meal. Whole day would be spent angling on the Ramganga River. The Ramgana River is divided into four beats for fishing. 01 day permit allows you fishing in one beat only. Evening drive back to Resort for Dinner. Over night at Resort.

Day 03 : Corbett

Early breakfast and departs to Ramganga River for fishing with packed lunch. Full day spend at Ramganga River. Evening drive back to Resort for Dinner. Over night at Resort.

Day 04 : Corbett

Morning after breakfast drive back to onward destination.
