Golden Mahseer of Jim Corbett is well known because of a popular phrase, ‘The Water Tiger’. These fishes ascend in the hilly rivers and streams of the Himalayas courageously and Mahseer angling in the Himalayas requires fast water and a good eye for spotting big fish in the rapids. Goonch also known as Catfish are normally found in the fastest water in the northern rivers and at the top and bottom of the rapids where they meet the whitest water. The legendary River Ramganga of Uttarakhand offers a great opportunity for Golden Mahseer & Gounch (Catfish) angling expeditions.
Fishing in certain places where few anglers traditionally cast for their Mighty Mahseer, and with our local fishing guides it will be an unforgettable experience. Tour Plan
Day 1
On arrival Check-in at Wildlife resort. Fresh-n-up and time for lunch. Evening nature walk along with kosi River. Dinner & Over night at wildlife Resort.
Day 2
Early morning departs from wildlife resort by car/open Gypsy to Ramganga River with fishing guide and a packed meal. Whole day would be spent angling on the Ramganga River. The Ramgana River divided into four beats for fishing. 01 day permit allow to fishing in one beat only. Evening back to Resort for Dinner. Over night at Resort.
Day 3
Early breakfast and departs to Ramganga River for fishing with packed lunch. Full day spend at Ramganga River. Evening back to Resort for Dinner. Over night at Resort.
Day 4
Morning after breakfast checkout from the resort and then drive to Bhikyasen. Its small village area. Check-in at Guest House/Camp. After lunch fishing at Ramganga River. Dinner & Over night at Guest House/Camp.
Day 5
Early morning full day spend in Ramganga River for Goonch/Cat Fish at Ramganga River in Bhikyasen. Dinner & Over night at Guest House/Camp.
Day 6
Morning after breakfast drive back to onward destination.
