Construction of the Taj began in 1631 and was not completed until 1653.

Early in the jeep safari into the national park, after brea`kfast we will take you to Dhikala/Gairal Forest Lodge by a car or gypsy. Early in the morning take an elephant ride before breakfast to experienced the real fun of tracking tigers in Corbett. On an elephant back you feel yourself safe and secure from the wild animals at an altitude of over 10 feet above the ground, and it give a panoramic view to watch the jungle sight and wildlife. Take lunch and spend afternoon on a watch tower which is 1 km away from the Dhikala/Gairal resort overlooking the river Ramganga. Corbett is a ideal place for the birds watcher. You may see the incredible kind of birds like kingfisher, crested serpent eagle and much more. Now, it is time to go with a jeep safari along the river Ramganga crossing the river at the Gathiarao bridge to the Kanda range. This is the place where the famous naturalist and conservationist Jim Corbett shot the Kanda maneater. To watch the wildlife in its real prime habitat is a wonderful experience. Come back to the Dhikala/Gairal resort. Watch a film on the conservation of Corbett and stay at the same resort.
Check out from the resort early in the morning for the Gairal Range forest. There is a big chance to see the dangerous reptiles like Turtles, Gharial, crocodiles and hungry Mugger those are still unchanged in appearance since the ancient times. The dense Sal forests and massive trees, deer jumping across the forest here and there, sloth bear moving in style, wild elephants herds taking a shower bath in the river and other stylish activities of the animals making your tour versatile. After watching the Corbett a jeep will take you to the railway station to move for your homes.
