Kota Safari Zone Corbett

Kota Safari zone is the new addition in the permissible part of the safari zones of Corbett National Park. Located in the western part of Ramnagar forest division, the Kota Safari Zone shares its boundary with the southern border of Sitabani zone. Kota safari zone encompasses the Kota mountain range and is more hilly than other neighboring areas of Jim Corbett. Thus, the zone offers more stunning landscapes comparatively. This zone is a wildlife oasis and home of hundreds of fauna species including majestic tigers, elusive leopards, and giant Asian elephants. Also, the forest department has created various artificial water bodies which are extensively used by the animals. These water bodies are the hotspots of wildlife, thus a highlight in the Kota safari zone.

The entry and exit in the Kota Safari zone is from Bhandarpani Gate of Sitabani buffer zone. Kota zone has a total of 26 kilometers of safari track length. The Kota zone in Corbett National Park not only offers an exclusive chance of wondrous journey into the wildlife but also enhances the wildlife experience in the other zones by reducing the pressure of tourists on other zones of the park.

Kota Zone Safari Timings

Jeep safaris in the Corbett National Park are conducted two times in a day. One in the morning and another in the afternoon. However, the timings slightly change in summer (March to June) from winter (November to February). In summer, morning safari time in the Kota zone will start from around 6 am, and 3 pm in the afternoon. On the other hand, in winter, morning safari in the Kota zone will start from around 7 am and 2 pm in the afternoon. In summer, the jeep safari is conducted for three and a half hours while in the winter, it is four hours.
